Archive for 'newborns'
I photographed this sweet couple in January. Just 4 days later, their beautiful twin girls arrived! Vibiana and Vivienne were born at just 31 weeks and spent some time in the NICU. We finally got a session in of them at nearly 5 months old. What little miracles they are! It is amazing how they have thrived – you would never guess they were born so early. I enjoyed every minute with this family and wanted to share some pictures from their maternity session as well as the “newborn” session. We ordered a great big album of all of their pictures- what a treasure that will be for them.
It’s rare that I get to photograph newborn baby BOYS, so when I got this call to photograph a friends new little guy I wasn’t sure what I would need. Lucky for me, his parents came prepared. They brought some great props for us to use, and Cameron was the perfect little sleeper.
Congratulations Mike & Leslie! I absolutely loved spending the morning with you and getting to meet Cameron!
Tim & Michelle were meant to be parents. As I listened to them talk about how excited they were to meet baby Drew, I couldn’t help but get excited, too. It was contagious. They were bursting with happiness, and I could feel just how much they cherished this little gift from God, this miracle they had been praying for.
There is nothing I cherish more than the pictures of the girls when they were first born. I look at them over and over, remembering every little moment, their first cries, how their eyes barely opened, met mine, and my heart burst, realizing I was a mom. This baby was ours. Forever.
Since Drew was sitting breech, Michelle was scheduled for a c-section. I suggested that she have me come to the hospital the next day to get some fresh pictures of him, and she immediately said she would love that.
I am so glad we did. Getting to love on a one day old baby has to be THE best part of my job.
Welcome to the world, Drew. Sometimes I feel like this, too!
Tim & Michelle, congratulations again. I couldn’t be happier for the two of you!
This right here might be my favorite picture. Michelle, you were born for this role!
I haven’t quite finished up this session yet, but I am so in love with this little precious baby’s pictures that I just have to share a few. Her grandma is very special to me- I have known her for a long time and always knew she would make a wonderful grandmother.
Simply a beautiful family.
Their great big Goldendoodle couldn’t get enough of the newest little addition either!
Born on May 6th at 11:38 pm, weighing 6 lbs, 4 oz and 18 and 3/4 inches long…
Just as beautiful as her name implies…
Congratulations to my best friend, Anthea, Michael & Dylan. I am so excited to watch this precious little baby girl grow!
Hope everyone is having as great of a Wednesday as I am over here with my girls.
I don’t shoot a lot of newborns. Simply because I don’t have the studio set up for it, and it takes a lot of time and practice to be a newborn photographer. It requires investing in posing workshops, props, all the cute little wraps and hair bows, and much more! Every photographer has one area they excel more at than others, and because I love shooting toddlers and families so much, I have decided not to spend as much time building up a newborn portfolio.
With that said, there are exceptions to every rule, and little Sofia was one of them. Her big sister, Paulina, has been plastered all over my facebook and blog for the last year, and I just had to meet her adorable new sister. So, we used what I do have to capture just a few pictures of this little lady. So glad we did! She is just perfect, and I fell in love with her immediately.
Melissa & Mark, congratulations again! Looking forward to taking some family pictures next!!
I got to meet this sweet little babe when he was just over a week old, but we held on to these pictures so the announcement/holiday card his momma ordered could be sent out first. I have been anxious to share some of my favorites.
Meet Nolan Jeffrey.
Another best friend’s beautiful baby to share. I had to keep these pictures to myself until the announcement’s went out and am so excited to be able to introduce her to you all now.
Born Aug. 18th 7 lbs. 12 oz. of perfection.
Proud big brother, Joaquin. If little Kaiya is anything like him, she will be reading at the age of 6 months – this kid is amazing.
Congratulations Stacey, Nick & Joaquin on your beautiful new little girl that I love so much already!! xxoo
“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.” ~Rajneesh
A week ago today my best friend became a mother. And I got to witness every minute of it. There is absolutely nothing like watching a new soul come into this world. It is the most precious moment, so raw and beautiful. I have to admit, I was a little scared for Jenny, because she was determined to have Linley according to her birth plan, and when a few things didn’t go quite as planned I could hear the anxiety in her voice. But she knew what she wanted, and she was so strong and brave through it all. I am so very proud of her.
16 hours after checking in to the hospital and no pain medicine on board at all, Jenny gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Linley Renee, named after her great-grandfather, Linwood.
This is her birth story.
Jenny & Eric didn’t find out the sex of the baby during the pregnancy, and it was so worth the wait when they got to announce it to their families. I just love their reaction!
Jenny & Eric, I am so excited to watch you on this new journey. You are already the wonderful parents I always knew you would be.
Welcome to the world sweet baby Linley. You are a precious gift, loved my so many already.
