Thankful

{some of the pics below are iPhone pics. I love them just as much, if not more than my big fancy shmancy camera pics}

Every day this month, I posted one picture on facebook of what I was thankful for. Ok, every day but two that just slipped by.  But really, there aren’t enough days to mention it all. Looking back at the pictures I posted it seems kind of silly that my bottle of Tums made the list, but really in that moment I was so thankful.

The big things, the little things. My life is so full. I am so blessed, and I have so much to be thankful for.

So, I am taking the time today to ramble about it just a little more.

For the freedom to spend my days how I want to and to schedule what works best for my family. I get to be present for so much every day. I used to miss these little moments, and even though I sometimes think how nice it would be to have a little more of a sane environment to work in, I wouldn’t trade my  mostly-work-from-home job for anything in the entire world. Because these days will pass. And I will miss them.

For the boys. Though the relationship between a mom and her teenage boys isn’t always an easy one, every single day is worth it to watch them grow into young men, ready to take on the world by themselves. Scary, yes. But they will conquer it, because these two don’t do anything small. Their sisters will miss them. A lot. The bond between them all is a strong one.

My husband. He keeps me sane. He works so hard for us, and he loves his children so, so much. I love him.

My parents. For all they have taught me, for all they have done. They are amazing role models to us all.

My Gram, Sisters, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, In-laws. Family. The ones that are close by, and the ones that are far. Knowing that I can call them for anything in the world and if they can do it, they will. They are crazy, they are loud, they are the best around. And I love them all. (Wish I had a picture of every single one of you, but you know who you are & I love you!)

For old friendships and new friendships. For the girls I can call first thing in the morning and wake up late at night (and for our husbands that put up with our non-stop gab sessions). For clients that are now my friends, too.

For friends that are so close to family you sometimes forget they aren’t. My kids are so blessed to have so many wonderful “aunties” and “uncles” in their life.

And for the ones I get to be “auntie” to. What an honor.

There is so much more to be thankful for. But right now it is time to help the hubs make some broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes, light a pumpkin candle and breathe in the wonderful air of fall.

Enjoy your day. Be thankful. I know I am.
