Hannah will be a month this coming Thursday, and I feel like I am finally starting to come out of the newborn fog. There is a sense of normalcy returning to the house, meaning I am not in pajamas all day, everyday (well…most days I am not). I was going to type more than that, but really that’s all that comes to mind right now as I stare at the mess on my desk that consists of a pacifier, two newborn hats, one sock and an old bottle of pumped breastmilk and see my fresh to do list I proudly wrote last week thinking I was so ready to take it all on. Nothing has been scratched off yet, and while Bob has taken Sophia & Madison out for the day and I have a few hours with only one child that time will probably be spent browsing Pinterest (in my pj’s) while I rock the babe in the other arm. Because, let’s be honest, the only reason I get a shower and the chance to look halfway decent every day if Bob isn’t home is because my mom comes over to hold the baby or dress the girls. My house was cleaned this weekend, yet I can’t see my bed under the piles of laundry (really how many loads can one family wash a day?!) and as I sit here I am made well aware that Hannah better wake up any moment to eat again or I will be changing my shirt (my brother is going to kill me for bringing up boob milk twice in one post).
So, yes. I am starting to come out of the fog, but clearly there is still a long way to go. You would think you would get better at it after doing it twice before, but this time was a little more slow going for me. And that is ok. I am not rushing it this time around. I am enjoying every little moment with my last little baby, even the ones in the wee hours of the morning.
With that said, I have received several emails asking if I will be offering mini sessions this year, and since this time of year is my absolute favorite to do these I have decided to take on a very limited amount of sessions at the end of April. I feel like that will give me a few more weeks to master this baby thing again and ease back in slowly. The details are below along with the dates I have available. I am only offering two sessions each day, and both sessions will be in the evening about an hour or so before sunset.
Make sure to email me to book yours before these fill up. I am looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, and hopefully meeting some new ones, too! I am also very excited to get out there and see some of my favorite spring locations. It’s one of my favorite times of the year to shoot!
If you do not wish to book a mini session but are interested in a full session when I return please let me know as I am starting to book into May and the summer right now.
Mini Session available dates:
Saturday, April 21st Sunday, April 22nd Friday, April 27th Saturday, April 28th Friday, May 4th
And…as an added bonus here is a picture of my beautiful new baby girl (for those of you not on facebook). Love her to pieces!
